Templates
Scalable Motion Graphics Systems
Templates are powerful tools that help produce consistent, on-brand animations at scale. By converting complex motion designs into flexible templates, companies can quickly customize campaigns for different platforms, products, or messages — without rebuilding animations from scratch. This process cuts down production time, ensures visual consistency, and allows creative teams to focus on strategy rather than repetitive tasks.

Motion Graphics
As a motion graphics designer in the broadcasting space, I’ve spent many years building advanced templates and procedural animation systems in After Effects that can adapt to variable content. Using expressions, master controls, and the Essential Graphics panel, I design templates that link dynamic text, color, layout, and animation properties — so once a system is built, it can be reused and repurposed for future campaigns. For example, a single animation rig can generate multiple variations simply by updating the source text or assets, while maintaining the same timing, motion, and brand behavior.
This approach is especially effective for social and paid media, where performance can be measured and optimized. With a templated motion system, teams can A/B test different versions of an ad. Experimenting with messaging, pacing, style or content — teams can use performance metrics to guide future iterations.
This approach allows teams to work faster, iterate freely, and maintain visual cohesion — turning one-time animations into long-term, scalable motion systems.
How Brands Use Templates
Templates are especially useful for brands that need to create high-volume, targeted content while maintaining design consistency. For example, if a brand is running a location-based campaign, I can design an After Effects template that uses dynamically linked text layers to update city names or localized messaging automatically.
Instead of manually rebuilding each version, the system allows for hundreds to thousands of variations all based on one master template. By linking content data and leveraging batch rendering, brands can efficiently produce personalized ads for every major city or audience segment.
This approach combines automation with creativity — enabling large-scale campaigns that feel customized, perform better, and stay true to the brand’s visual identity.
